Marked Bicycle Routes without Mileage Numbers on the Signs

The vast majority (99%+) of TN 52 in Sumner County (Area 1,  Area 3, and Area 4), and Macon County (Area 5 and Area 7) is marked as a bicycle route.

Marked Bicycle Routes with Mileage Numbers on the Signs

The State of Tennessee has approximately 37 bicycle routes within the state.  All of the routes share normal state, federal and county highways.  They are, however, marked with special signs for bicyclists, and maps are provided.

There are five routes which run from Falls Creek Falls State Park to Standing Stone State Park in C11 Overton County.  Just click on the link below to see the maps.  The routes of interest are all marked "Highland Rim".  Route 1 is farthest south, and it works its way north through Route 5.

Cove Lake State Park's 673 acres are situated in a beautiful mountain valley setting on the eastern edge of the Cumberland Mountains. There are scenic nature trails and bike trails leading through the open grasslands and woodlands. In the winter, several hundred Canada Geese make this lakeshore their feeding ground. Nearby is the Devil's Race Trace whose steep pinnacle rock affords a panoramic view. Photo and text courtesy of Tennessee State Parks: www.tnstateparks.com
