The Annual Jett Williams Concert and Festival is held each May in Lafayette. Jett Williams is an internationally-recognized country star who lives in Macon County, Tennessee. Jett Williams' best selling autobiography, Ain't Nothin' As Sweet As My Baby, details her struggles to learn, and finally prove, that her father was legendary country singer Hank Williams, Sr. Jett was born five days after her father's death and, in a series of rather bizarre events, Jett was adopted twice and never told her true identity. It took her over 30 years before she knew the truth. Jett Williams now is a star in her own right, and her musical talents are appreciated in concerts around the globe. Ms. Williams lives with her husband Keith Adkinson on a 100 acre farm in Macon County. Jett takes a special interest in the citizens of the county and each year sponsors the: Annual Jett Williams Country Music Festival Annual Jett Williams Softball Tournament Jett Williams All American Law Enforcement Shoot Out Jett Williams Pageant In the year 2000, the Tennessee House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing Jett Williams' work in Macon County.
